Do I need to be licensed to join?
Yes. Pharmacists we coordinate must meet applicable professional licensing requirements to practise in Ontario. You remain responsible for maintaining your registration and practising within your scope.
Can I pick my own shifts?
You stay in control of what you accept. We share opportunities that fit your availability and experience, and you decide whether to take a shift. We do not guarantee a minimum number of shifts or continuous work.
Is this full-time employment?
No. Relief coverage is flexible, shift-based work. It can fit around other commitments or supplement existing work. Availability depends on the shifts pharmacies need.
Which pharmacy systems should I know?
Familiarity with common community pharmacy dispensing systems (for example Kroll or PharmaClik) helps. Share what you know when you register so we can match you to pharmacies using those systems where possible.
Are specific pharmacy placements guaranteed?
No. We match based on fit, availability and the pharmacy's needs. We don't guarantee placement at a specific pharmacy, specific hours or any particular location.
Which areas do you coordinate opportunities in?
Opportunities are primarily across the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario. If you're outside the GTA, register and let us know. We'll be honest about whether we can match you.
Do you support pharmacy students?
Yes. PharmaKind is interested in pharmacy student development and placement opportunities. Students can register through the student path, though opportunities are not guaranteed.
